About Voorcast

Voorcast is an inventory forecasting platform built for merchants. We help merchants predict demand, prevent stockouts, understand true costs, and automate purchasing — so teams can spend less time in spreadsheets and more time growing their business.

The Problem

Most merchants still manage inventory with spreadsheets, gut feeling, and fragmented tools. Stock decisions happen with incomplete data. True costs are hidden behind layers of shipping fees, payment charges, and commissions. Suppliers are managed reactively — you find out about a problem after a stockout, not before.

The result: missed sales from empty shelves, tied-up capital in overstocked products, and hours wasted every week on manual purchasing workflows.

Built by Nordnether

Voorcast is developed and maintained by Nordnether, a Netherlands-based software company with direct experience in wholesale and supply chain operations. We have seen the pain points firsthand and are building the tool we wished existed — practical, data-driven, and built for the specific workflows merchants deal with every day.

Our Approach

We believe in statistical methods over black-box AI hype. Voorcast uses proven demand decomposition techniques — seasonal patterns, trend detection, and confidence scoring — so you always understand why a forecast looks the way it does.

We model your real costs: shipping rules, payment fees, commission schemes. And we build for wholesale-specific needs: order multiples, supplier lead times, backorder handling, and multi-platform inventory sync.

Live in production

Voorcast is live. Grandcruwijnen — a Dutch wine retailer with ~5,000 SKUs ranging from fine-wine cellar stock that rotates a handful of times a year to everyday bottles that move weekly — has been running on Voorcast in production since mid-March 2026.

In the first two months their stockout events dropped by roughly 85% without any threshold tuning, custom rules, or service-level dials on their side.
