Connect an assistant

Voorcast speaks MCP, so you can point Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client at your own data and ask it questions in plain language. Nothing to install.

What you need

1. An API key. Create one in Voorcast under Settings → API keys. Leave it read-only unless you have a reason not to. A read-only key can look at your data and cannot change it, and that is enforced by Voorcast rather than by the assistant.

Adding it to your client

Every MCP client asks for the same two things: a server URL and an authorization header. Paste the endpoint as the URL, and send your key as a bearer token:

Where you enter those differs per client, so follow its own instructions for adding a remote MCP server. Once connected, ask it to list its tools. You should see supplier, product, sales, purchase order and reordering tools.

What it can see

Only your own organisation’s data, and only the parts you can already see when signed in. The organisation is taken from the key itself, so a key cannot be pointed at anyone else’s account. If you lose a key, revoke it in Settings and create another. Revoking is immediate.
